U.S. Open 2012 Tennis Scores: Serena Williams Cruises, Mardy Fish Withdraws

It has been a busy Monday at the 2012 U.S. Open, as the quarterfinals on both sides are beginning to take shape. Serena Williams moved easily past her fourth-round opponent, Andrea Hlavackova, with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Venus Williams joined her sister for a third-round doubles match against Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova of Russia on Monday night. The Russians defeated the sisters in straight sets to move on.

Serena will face Ana Ivanovic in the quarterfinals. Ivanovic preceded Williams in Arhur Ashe Stadium with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria.

The biggest upset so far came when women's No. 2 Agniekszka Radwanska was taken down by No. 20 Roberta Vinci 6-1, 6-4.

Andy Murray had his matched moved up to 7 p.m. to avoid inclement weather that is supposed to arrive later in the evening. He is currently on-serve in the second set, after winning the first over Milos Raonic, 6-4.

The shocker of the day comes from American Mardy Fish, who withdrew from the tournament due to health concerns. Fish was scheduled to play a fourth-round match with Roger Federer, who now moves to the quarters.
