The Stanford Cardinal have had over a week and a half to rest up from their upset victory over the USC Trojans, and now get to face one of their most daunting road tests of the year when they face the Washington Huskies. Washington is playing away from Husky Stadium due to large stadium renovations; however, they are still playing in a formidable home environment at CenturyLink Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks.
Stanford has dominated their previous few matchups with Washington, winning their last game 65-21 without any real assistance from Andrew Luck. Stanford relied on a ground game that obliterated the Husky defense, piling up nearly 450 rushing yards in all. The Cardinal will probably look to go run-first again in this matchup, but Washington will likely be dialed in to stop Stanford on the ground and force Josh Nunes to make plays. After the Stanford defense bottled up Matt Barkley, can they do the same to Keith Price and a battered Washington offensive line?
Stanford is favored by about a touchdown in this matchup. The game kicks off at 9 p.m. EST, 6 p.m. PST on ESPN and should be available on WatchESPN on cable, teleco and satellite provdiers that carry the service.
