2012 Ryder Cup Schedule: Practice Times And Events At Medinah

The 2012 Ryder Cup events begin on Tuesday, starting with team practices. The competition officially starts on Thursday when the two teams tee off at Medinah Country Club.

After what feels like months of talking about it, the 2012 Ryder Cup is here. Captain Davis Love III leads Team USA against Captain Jose Maria Olazabal and Team Europe. The festivities get going on Tuesday at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Illinois.

Here are the dates and times of events taking place this week:

Tuesday

8:00 a.m. CT - Ryder Cup Team Practice Begins

1:00 p.m. CT - Past Ryder Cup Captain and Celebrity Scramble

Wednesday

8:00 a.m. CT - Ryder Cup Team Practice Begins

2:00 p.m. CT - Junior Ryder Cup Exhibition Play

Thursday

8:00 a.m. CT - Ryder Cup Team Practice Begins

4:00 p.m. CT - Opening Ceremonies

8:00 p.m. CT - Bagpipes and Blues Event Benefiting The Ronald McDonald House

Friday

7:20 a.m. CT - First Tee Time (Foursome)

12:05 p.m. or 1:05 p.m. CT - First Tee Time (Four balls)

Saturday

7:20 a.m. CT - First Tee Time (Foursome)

12:05 p.m. CT - First Tee Time (Four balls)

Sunday

11:03 a.m. CT - Singles Tee Times

5:30 p.m. CT - Closing Ceremonies (Approximately 30 minutes after competition ends)

Coverage of the 2012 Ryder Cup will be on The Golf Channel on Thursday, ESPN on Friday, and NBC both Saturday and Sunday.
