The Oakland Raiders will attempt to win their first game of the 2012 season when they return home to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Oakland is coming off a 35-13 road loss to the Miami Dolphins. The Raiders have struggled to score points so far this season, ranking 31st in the NFL with just 13.5 points per game. A big reason why the Raiders have struggled offensively is they have been unable to get much of a running game going. Darren McFadden has just 54 rushing yards on 26 carries. Getting McFadden going against the Steelers might be a challenge as Pittsburgh ranks 11th in the NFL in run defense.
The Raiders aren't the only team struggling to run the ball. Pittsburgh is 30th in the NFL, averaging 70.5 rushing yards per game. While the Steelers offense has had it's struggles, the Pittsburgh defense is strong once again. The Steelers rank seventh in the NFL in yards per game allowed and ninth in points per game allowed.
Pittsburgh enters the game as a 3-point betting favorite. The Steelers have won five of their last eight games against the Raiders.
Game Date/Time: Sunday, September 23; 4:25 p.m. ET
Location: Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Oakland, Calif.
