San Jose State and San Diego State both came into this game at 2-1 and were thought to be evenly matched. The game showed just that as the two teams traded leads the entire night. With 1:10 left in the fourth quarter, and SDSU up by three, Spartan quarterback David Fales made a 14 yard pass to Chandler Jones for the touchdown. The Aztecs would be unable to answer back. SJSU wins 38-34.
Including the game winning pass at the end, San Jose's quarterback David Fales had a big night in the air. Fales would go 22-for-33, totaling 264 yards and four touchdowns. The defense for the Spartans had a less-than-stellar night. The highlight of the night would be sacking SDSU's quarterback Ryan Katz five times. The Aztecs managed to accumulate 291 yards rushing and 212 yards passing against the d-corps. Of the 291 yards allowed on the run, 199 of those belonged to Aztec running back, Adam Muema.
San Jose St. has now won three straight games as they go on to face Navy (1-2) next weekend.
