Brandt Snedeker and Justin Rose have taken the lead following the third round of the 2012 Tour Championship. Both men are 8-under, with Snedeker shooting a 64, the day's best round.
Ryan Moore sits in third, shooting 5-under for the round for 6-under in total. Jim Furyk opened the day in the lead and stayed there much of the day. After going 1-under through 16, but hole No. 17 would be his undoing. A triple bogey sent him to a tie for fourth and 5-under with Rory McIlroy and Bubba Watson.
Tiger Woods improved on his showing from Friday. After opening the day tied for 12th place, the Stanford grad shot 3-under and ended the day tied for seventh, 4-under overall. Nick Watney, currently third in the FedEx Cup standings, isn't doing much to help his chances of a win. The Sacramento native was even for the day, leaving him 9-over and second from the bottom of the leaderboard.
