NFL Picks, Week 2: Raiders Vs. Dolphins

So in Week 1, I went with the Oakland Raiders to best the San Diego Chargers. Despite the fact that I'm a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, I felt like the Silver And Black could pull it off, especially with Darren McFadden. As it turns out, he ... didn't have the best game. Oakland kept it close though, and their hopes for an AFC West crown are more likely to be hampered by the Denver Broncos than the Chargers at this point.

Next up, they've got the Dolphins. Miami spent their Week 1 getting absolutely abused by the Houston Texans, which surprised nobody. The Texans have made that transition to elite team, while Miami is still ... not very good. Ryan Tannehill is the quarterback and he doesn't inspire much confidence at all.

In short, I'll be sticking with the Raiders. I think Miami's defense isn't quite good enough to stop McFadden and Carson Palmer, and I think the weak Raiders secondary will enjoy some much-needed, confidence-boosting success against a very lackluster Miami offense. The Raiders could and should win this game by a couple of touchdowns to really get that confidence boost they'll need with a highly competitive AFC West on their hands.
