With the 2012 BMW Championship in the books, the final FedEx Cup standings entering the Tour Championship are complete. Rory McIlroy's win in the BMW Championship carries him in in first place, and Tiger Woods, who played his college years at Stanford, sits in second. A 45th place finish at the BMW Championship didn't hurt Fresno State grad Nick Watney much, as he still rounds out the top three.
Phil Mickelson, who had one of his best tournaments of the year over the weekend, rose from ninth in the standings to fourth. Lee Westwood also did some major climbing, moving from 23rd following the Deutsche Bank Championship to eighth. Vijay Singh also played well in the final tournament, but not well enough. He remains just on the wrong side of the bubble, shut out of things in 33rd place.
The Tour Championship begins Sept. 17. For complete FedEx Cup standings, check out Golf.com.
