2012 Olympics Preview: Event Schedule, TV Listings, Start Times And More

Team USA will have plenty of opportunities to bring home medals on Wednesday. Among the big events on London: men's basketball, track & field, and an all-American final in beach volleyball. Here is a schedule of events, the start times and TV listings for August 8.

The U.S. will take the court against Australia at 2:15 p.m. PST. It will be streamed live through NBC and will be televised on NBC Sports Network. This game figures to be a blowout similar to the one against Nigeria last week, but you just never know which team will show up.

For the first time in history, two teams from the U.S. will battle in the women's beach volleyball final. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings will take on April Ross and Jennifer Kessy. The winners will take home gold, the losers a silver medal for their efforts. Regardless of who wins, this will be one of the more entertaining events at the summer games. This match will begin at 1 p.m. and will be streamed live. It will air tape-delayed on NBC in primetime.

Four golds will be on the line in track & field. The events: women's long jump at 12:05 p.m. PST, women's 400m hurdles at 12:45, women's 200m final at 1 and the men's 110m hurdles at 1:10. They will also be streamed live and aired in primetime.

Here is a complete look at all of Wednesday's events from London.
