The San Francisco Giants are putting together a nice winning streak, and hope to keep it going behind Ryan Vogelsong on Friday against the Atlanta Braves.
Vogelsong (10-7, 2.85 ERA) has lost his last two starts in ugly fashion, allowing 11 runs in just 5.2 innings pitched, including against San Diego Sunday when he threw 35 pitches in a three-run first before getting yanked with no outs in the fourth.
Ben Sheets (4-3, 3.07) also looks to avoid his third consecutive loss after allowing 11 runs and five homers in 12 innings in his last two starts. Sheets gave up four hits Saturday against the Dodgers, but they all left the park in a 6-4 defeat.
Buster Posey could likely return today, but it's been Angel Pagan doing a lot of the brunt work, batting .467 with 10 runs during his latest seven-game hitting streak.
