The San Francisco Giants are hanging on by a thread atop the NL West, while the Washington Nationals are sitting pretty in the NL East at the moment. But both first-place squads clash at AT&T Park for a three game set to start the week.
With just a one game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco needs to keep winning series if they want to stay ahead. This is Washington's first trip to the Bay this year, though wre swept by the Nats in D.C. earlier this year. Hopefully they can return the favor this time around.
Gio Gonzalez (14-6, 3.32) takes on Ryan Vogelsong (10-5, 2.27) in game one. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
Jordan Zimmermann (9-6, 2.35) faces Madison Bumgarner (12-7, 3.08) in game two. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
Stephen Strasburg (13-5, 2.90) squares off with Tim Lincecum (6-12, 5.35) in a pitching duel for the ages Wednesday. First pitch is at 12:45 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
