As the San Francisco Giants look to keep their first place stature intact on Sunday, starter Barry Zito will be looking to do something he hasn't in four years.
Zito is on the cusp of his first 10-win season since 2009, taking on the slumping Colorado Rockies on Sunday. Although he has lost his last three at AT&T Park, Zito (9-8, 4.19 ERA), did not walk a batter in his last start, the first time since his season debut he'd completed that feat. He also has a great track record against Colorado, throwing a four-hit shutout at Coors Field is his last start against them at Coors.
Colorado will send out Alex White (2-6, 5.75), who threw four shutout innings against the Dodgers in an eventual 3-1 Colorado victory in his last outing. H struggled with command though with five walks and had to exit early due to Jim Tracy's pitch count rule as part of their 4-man rotation.
First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
