Giants Vs. Rockies Final Score: San Francisco Rebounds With 9-3 Win

The San Francisco Giants bounced back from Friday's incredibly frustrating loss, beating the Colorado Rockies by a score of 9-3. They did so behind a strong outing from Matt Cain, who pitched 7 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits while striking out six.

San Francisco's offense was active thoughout the game, scoring two runs each in the second and third innings, then adding a combined four more in the sixth and seventh and one in the eighth to put the game out of reach. Buster Posey and Angel Pagan both had two RBI on the night, and Joaquin Arias, Hunter Pence and Marco Scutaro all had one each. Even Cain got in on things, picking up an RBI with a single in the second.

The Giants improve to 62-52 with the win and will at least keep pace with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the race for the NL West crown. Having split the first two games, the Giants and Rockies will settle the rubber game on Sunday, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PT.
