San Francisco's own Jake Shields will be looking to get his UFC career back on track on Saturday, when he takes on Ed Herman on the main card for UFC 150: Henderson vs. Edgar II. In the main event, Ben Henderson will be taking on Frankie Edgar for the lightweight title, but Shields is the only Bay Area tie. There's some other California fighters in action, namely Jared Hamman and Justin Lawrence.
Below, we've got some betting lines (via bookmaker.eu with a H/T to Bloody Elbow), and there's really not much action there. It's very tempting to grab Melvin Guillard, especially because he continues to move - he's now at +250 against Donald Cerrone. Guillard versus any fighter shouldn't result in that kind of line, regardless of who it is. Cerrone will likely win, but it's hard to ignore the value there in Guillard.
Shields is probably good money, but his UFC career has been so disappointing thus far, it may not be the safest bet out there. Below, we've got the odds:
Main Card:
Ben Henderson (16-2) -185 vs. Frankie Edgar (14-2-1) +155
Donald Cerrone (18-4, 1 NC) -310 vs. Melvin Guillard (30-10-2, 1 NC) +250
Ed Herman (20-8) +160 vs. Jake Shields (27-6-1) -200
Yushin Okami (26-7) -550 vs. Buddy Roberts (12-2) +400
Justin Lawrence (4-0) -115 vs. Max Holloway (5-1) -115
Preliminary Card:
Dennis Bermudez (8-3) -285 vs. Tom Hayden (8-1) +225
Jared Hamman (13-4) -115 vs. Michael Kuiper (11-1) -115
Ken Stone (11-3) -115 vs. Erik Perez (11-4) -115
Dustin Pague (11-6) -185 vs. Chico Camus (11-3) +155
Facebook card:
Eiji Mitsuoka (18-8-2) +285 vs. Nik Lentz (21-5-2, 1 NC) -355
