2012 Tour de France, Stage 9: Route, TV Schedule, Live Updates And More

Monday will mark the 10th day of the 2012 Tour de France and the final stage before the dreaded mountain stages begin. Stage 9 will start early on Monday and will be a time trial from Arc-et-Senans to Besancon, a mostly flat time trial ride past a score of French landmarks.

The 41.5km ride will be a sort of comedown for the riders prior to a rest day before the backbreaking Stage 10 takes place on Wednesday. Heading into Monday, Bradley Wiggins is the leader in the general classification and defending champion Cadel Evans is hot on his heels in second place, although this could be an opportunity for Fabian Cancellara to snatch the maillot jaune one final time before the riders take to the mountains.

Monday's stage will be televised on NBC Sports Network beginning at 5 a.m. PT.
