2012 Tour de France Results: Stage 7 Winner Is Christopher Froome

The seventh stage of the 2012 Tour de France has wrapped up, and it was Christopher Froome who had a late push to win his first leg this year. Froome held off Cadel Evans and Bradley Wiggins by two seconds each, moving him into ninth place overall in the standings. He sits one minute and 32 seconds back of Wiggins, who leads the field.

The end of the seventh stage marks the first time Fabian Cancellara has not led the 2012 Tour de France. He had a rough day on Saturday and dropped out of the top-10. Wiggins sits 10 seconds ahead of Cadel and 16 seconds in front of Vincenzo Nibali. Rein Taaramae (32 seconds back) and Denis Menchov (54 seconds back) round out the top five.

The cyclists will continue their journey on Sunday at stage eight of the race.
