Jeremy Lin Rumors: Linsanity Agrees To Rockets Offer Sheet, Knicks Plan To Match

Jeremy Lin could be headed to the Houston Rockets, but is likely going to be a New York Knick. Regardless of how much the Knicks have to pony up and how much it might eventually cost them in the luxury tax, they're willing to go all the way to ensure Linsanity remains their player.

As you would expect, the big winner from this situation is Lin. He's going to get paid huge money by either the Rockets or the Knicks, and his financial status is all but secure.

Lin averaged 14.6 points per game and 6.2 assists per game with the Knicks in 35 games of action before injuring his meniscus and sitting out the rest of the season. Lin figures to either be the starter in Houston or split time with Aaron Brooks, while in New York he'd probably split time with Jason Kidd as he continues his development into a potential NBA starter down the line.
