Wednesday was Day 9 of the 2012 Wimbledon Tennis Championships, and the tournament's semifinal matchups have taken form. In the Gentleman's draw, Wednesday saw Andy Murray beat David Ferrer to advance, Novak Djokovic advancing over Florian Mayer, and Roger Federer getting the win over Mikhail Youzhny. Federer will meet Djokovic in a match that has all the makings of a classic, while Murray will next face off with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. The semifinals for the Gentlemen's draw take place Friday.
Thursday is the semifinals in the Ladies' draw, and Serena Williams will be in action against Victoria Azarenka. While Azarenka had the day off on Wednesday, Williams was in doubles action with sister Venus, where they were victorious against Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova. Angelique Kerber vs. Agnieszka Radwanska is the other Ladies' semifinal match.
