The 2012 Olympics in London are only beginning to heat up. Sunday will mark the second full day of medal competition and will feature a score more Bay Area athletes hoping to bring some hardware home to Northern California.
The highlights of the day will include the first U.S. men's basketball game of the Summer Games, as Team USA takes on France at 6:30 a.m. PT. Gymnastics and swimming will, of course, dominate the national television coverage and the prime time viewing hours. Michael Phelps will attempt to rebound from not medaling in his first event on Saturday, while Ryan Lochte will be trying to establish himself as the new face of American swimming.
