The 2012 Olympics kick into their highest gear as we get into the first of the many swimming finals at this games, and there will be multiple events featuring California Golden Bears. The swimming starts at 11:30 AM PT, 2:30 PM ET with the 400 IM final with Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps, but there will be plenty of finals involving Bay Area swimmers
- Dana Vollmer of Cal is the favorite in the women's 100 meter butterfly and has the top time going into the semis. The event takes place at 11:40 AM PT.
- Caitlin Leverenz of Cal will be in lane 8 in the women's 400 IM final after going eighth overall in her heat.

Natalie Coughlin's Olympics are over after a brilliant heat, but fellow Golden Bear Jessica Hardy will be one of the legs of the 4 x 100 meter relay final. The event takes place at 12:50 PM PT.
