Round 3 of the 2012 British Open has wrapped up, and Adam Scott is the new leader. Scott moved into first with a score of 68 in Round 3, settling at 11-under for the tournament so far. Brandt Snedeker and Graeme McDowell are tied in second at 7-under, Snedeker having fallen from the lead with a Round 3 score of 73, and McDowell having climbed there with a 67. Tiger Woods sits just behind those three men, five strokes off the lead after shooting an even par 70 in Round 3.
The results for Bay Area golfers were mixed. Native Nick Watney is doing the best, settling at par after going 1-under in Round 3. Fellow native John Daly is +10 overall, with Stanford Alum Tom Watson just in front of him at 9-over. Daly had a 77 in Round 3, Watson a 76.
