British Open Odds: Tiger Woods Still Favorite With 4 To 1 Odds

Tiger Woods posted a very strong performance with his first round, making him suddenly a premier candidate to win the 2012 Open Championship. Woods is in a tie for sixth place at -3, but the books still are tilting Tiger's way. According to the updated first round odds, Woods is at 4 to 1, posting lower odds than Rory McIlRoy and currently clubhouse leader Adam Scott, who both have 7 to 1 odds.

Whether it's a wise bet to go with Tiger is up for debate (there's not much value in betting on a golfer getting such low odds), but there's no denying Woods is going to be a presence until the moment he falls out of the race. Up to you whether you want to ride with him.

Among the other golfers with Bay Area connections, Nick Watney and Tom Watson both stand at +1 and John Daly has a +2. Watney has 125 to 1 odds, Daly has 200 to 1 odds, and Watson has 300 to 1 odds.
