Stage 14 of the 2012 Tour de France starts Sunday morning, and the 191 stretch from Limoux to Foix is a high mountain stage with two Category 1 climbs in the final 90km. The mountains aren't quite high enough that general classification defenders will have to attack or defend, but they are high enough for some of the lesser riders to take their shot at glory.
With tight, risky descents down both climbs a rider willing to take chances would have a good chance at getting out in front and staying there, and there are plenty of young riders in the peloton willing to take the risk. French riders like Thomas Voeckler (Europcar) are always looking for chances to represent their country in its own race, and Stage 14 is a strong opportunity to impress.
