Jeremy Lin has received a substantial offer from the Houston Rockets, and the New York Knicks were expected by many to match the offer for the restricted free agent. Recent reports, however, suggest that the Knicks have plans to look elsewhere:
The Knicks are considering signing UFA Raymond Felton and letting RFA Jeremy Lin walk to the Rockets, a source close to situation confirms.

Frank Isola of the Daily News confirms the report, and Alan Hahn of MSG adds that Felton has always been "on the radar as a plan B." Marc Spears adds that this may be more than just a possibility:

However this turns out, Lin will have a lot to live up to in the coming season.
