Bay Area local Sam Querrey's run in the 2012 Wimbledon Tournament came to an end on Saturday, as he lost a marathon five and a half hour match against Marin Cilic. Cilic took the first two sets 7-6 and 6-4, but Querrey battled back to take Sets 3 and 4 7-6 and 7-6. The fifth and deciding set lasted more than tour hours, finally going to Cilic by a score of 17-15. Querrey outperformed the expectations of many in his victory over Milos Raonic in Round 2, but he proved unable to outlast Cilic.
Elsewhere in the Gentlemen's draw, Andy Roddick's run at Wimbledon also came to a close as the No. 30 seed lost to No. 7 seed David Ferrer. On the Ladies' side, Serena Williams defeated Jie Zheng to move into Round 4. A complete tournament scoreboard is available at SI.com.
