The biggest story out of Day 4 of the 2012 Wimbledon Tennis Championship was Lukas Rosal's unbelievable upset of No. 2 seed Rafael Nadal. The unseeded player from the Czech Republic took sets two, three and five from Nadal, all by a score of 6-4. Ranked No. 100 by the ATP, Rosol proved not to be intimindated by Nadal and handed him his first second round loss in a major since 2005. Rosol will go on to face Philipp Kohlschreiber in Round 3.
Elsewhere in the Gentlemen's draw, No. 4 seed Andy Murray defeated Ivo Karlovic, and Andy Roddick advanced to the third round, beating Bjorn Phau in straight sets. Round 3 for Murray is a match with Marcos Baghdatis, while Roddick's next test is No. 7 seed David Ferrer. The Bay Area's Sam Querrey's second round match was suspended and will be concluded on Friday.
In the Ladies' Singles draw, Maria Sharapova beat Tsvetana Pironkova to advance to the third round, and Serena Williams defeated Melinda Czink to do the same. Williams next faces No. 25 seed Jie Zheng, while Sharapova will see Su-Wei Hsieh in Round 3.
