2012 French Open Scores: Wild Third Round Of Play Wraps Up On Saturday

Yet another day of tennis from Rolland Garros is in the books and there are still quite a few of the tournament favorites in contention for the championship. With big names such as Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Maria Sharapova all in action you can bet it was a good time at the 2012 French Open.

Let's take a look at the final results from the day's bigger matches.

No. 2 Nadal defeated unranked Eduardo Schwank in three sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-4.

No. 4 Murray handled Santiago Giraldo in three sets as well. He won 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

Six-seed David Ferrer won in blowout fashion over No. 27 Mikhail Youzhny in three sets, 6-0, 6-2, 6-2.

No. 8 seed Janko Tipsarevic defeated No. 29 Julien Benneteau in three sets. He won 6-3, 7-5, 6-4.

On the women's side of things it was Sharapova winning in two sets over Shuai Peng, 6-2, 6-1. Seven-seed Na Li won in three sets, as did No. 4 Petra Kvitova.
