U.S. Open Golf 2012: Cal Graduate Charlie Wi Talks The Course At The Olympic, Tiger Woods And More

Cal graduate Charlie Wi talks the course at the Olympic Club, the first time he met Tiger Woods and more in this interview from Cal Athletics, who caught up with the golfer after Round 3 of the 2012 U.S. Open. Wi had a respectable Round 3, scoring a 71 after posting a 70 in Round 2 and a 74 in Round 1. That left him at +5 entering Round 4. That's a good distance out of the lead but given the crowding at the top of the leaderboard an improvement of a few strokes could see big gains in the standings. Wi teed off at 1:20pm PDT, paired with Aaron Watkins. Wi wasn't the only Cal grad at the 2012 U.S. Open; James Hahn posted a +13 through the first two rounds and failed to make the cut on Friday.
