Tiger Woods is making a strong case for the possibility of securing his historic fourth U.S. Open title. He will open the third round on Saturday at the Olympic Club in San Francisco in a tie at the top of the leaderboard at 1-under. There are plenty of Bay Area golfers still in the tournament, including Jeff Curl, who is currently at 8-over and a trio of local golfers tied for 18th place at 4-over: Charlie Wi, Nick Watney and Michael Allen.
NBC will broadcast six hours of round-three coverage Saturday, beginning at 12:00 p.m. PT with "Live from the U.S. Open," a pregame show sure to be full of in-depth analysis. Live third-round coverage will begin at 1:00 p.m. PT.
In addition to the television broadcast, fans will also be able to watch some of the action online via a stream at USOpen.com. A live stream of the eighth and 18th holes will be available from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. PT.
Radio coverage will begin at 4 p.m. ET and is available online and on select smartphones. Fans can also find the full 2012 U.S. Open leaderboard and follow live scoring at USOpen.com.
