There aren't many point guards available in the 2012 NBA Draft, so it's a position of need that could have a lot of teams reaching this summer for a new replacement.
That someone could be Oakland's own Damian Lillard. Lillard went to Weber State, which is probably why he's flown under the radar for most of the season. Now that the NBA Combine is in full swing, the Bay Area product is proving that he's a first-round talent, potentially even a lottery player. Chad Ford of ESPN claimed that Lillard excelled in drills and was the star of the Combine.
With a bunch of teams who really need a quality point guard, landing a gem like Lillard could really make a team's draft. It's not often you get to stumble onto a starting point, and Lillard might be just that guy.
