NL West Standings: Giants Hold On To Second-Place, Still Chase Dodgers

The Giants can't seem to put a dent in the Los Angeles Dodgers division lead but continue to hold off the rest of the NL West for the second spot.

The San Francisco Giants are home for the next seven games, including a three-game series with the division-rival Arizona Diamondbacks to start the week before finishing it with a visit from the Chicago Cubs.

The Giants need a good showing against the D-backs as they continue to chase the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers (32-15) and still sit 7.5 games back. The D-backs are chasing the Giants for that no. 2 spot and are three games back of the Giants after winning two straight. The Colorado Rockies (17-29) have lost two straight games and the San Diego Padres (17-32) are back in last place after dropping their last three.
