UFC 146 Dos Santos Vs. Mir Results: Stipe Miocic Defeats Shane Del Rosario Via Brutal TKO In Round 2

The main card of the UFC 146 pay-per-view in Las Vegas is well underway on Saturday night. Boasting five big heavyweight bouts, the marquee division of the UFC may look very different by the time the evening is finished.

In the second fight on the main card, California fighter Shane del Rosario made his return to action after being sidelined for most of 2011 with an injury from a car accident. He took on the undefeated Stipe Miocic in a fight that would have huge ramifications for both men.

The pace of the first round was blistering, as both men kept pressing the advantage with an urgency that is unusual for heavyweights. The second round was more sedate, until things came to a brutal end. Miocic got del Rosario on the ground and worked slowly to get to half-guard, then suddenly began raining down forearms that bloodied del Rosario's face and quickly led to a referee stoppage at 3:14.
