The Stanford Cardinals baseball team rose to number 11 in the USA Today/ESPN NCAA Baseball Coaches' Poll released on Monday. Stanford, with a 36-14 overall record, went 4-0 over the previous week, good enough to move them up the rankings. They swept a series against Utah on the road and moved into third place in the Pac-12. Only two games separate the top five teams in the Pac-12, so with a little help the Cardinals could see a great end to their season.
Other Pac-12 teams in the rankings are Oregon (No. 8), UCLA (No. 10), Arizona (No. 13), and Oregon State (No. 20).
Stanford's rankings in the other polls:
- No. 11 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Poll
- No. 12 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Poll
- No. 14 in the Baseball America College Poll
