The Run for the Roses returns to Churchill Downs for the 138th Kentucky Derby this weekend, an early spring American tradition that pits the finest three-year old thoroughbreds in the world against one another.
The all-important post positions were revealed on Wednesday from Churchill Downs on the NBC Sports Network, with the No. 1 horse the closest to the rail and the No. 20 horse the furthest.

Union Rags, Dullahan, and Bodemeister are all seen as some of the top talent this year, drawing good positioning at the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots respectfully. But you never know what horse could jump ahead of the field once the gate is opened and the fight for inside positioning begins.
'The Greatest Two Minutes In Sports' is set to run on Saturday, May 5, with coverage on NBC Sports starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. Coverage of the race itself will be on NBC begining at 5:00 p.m. ET until 7:00 p.m. ET.
