2012 Players Championship Scores: Kevin Na Takes The Lead On 18, Kuchar And Fowler Close Behind

Rickie Fowler's charge up the leaderboard was the big story from day three of the 2012 Players Championship, but Matt Kuchar and Kevin Na both had strong days. Kuchar added a 69 to his scores of 68 in both of the first two rounds and ended at 11-under, good for second. He stood alone in first for much of the day, but late in the round Kevin Na took advantage of Kucher's slip-ups.

Kutcher collected late bogeys at holes 14 and 17, including sinking the ball at 17 and landing in the bunker on 18. Na, who shot par on 14 of 18 holes, managed a birdie on 16, to avoid disaster on 17, and to birdie on the final hole to go 4-under on the day and take sole posession of the lead at 12-under.

Fowler had everyoe talking as he collected seven birdies, not doing worse than par until he bogeyed on the last hole. A 66 on the day sent him 14 places up the leaderboard and left him in third place at 9-under overall. Things are tight at the top of the standings, so expect pressure and tension at a height for round four.
