After a hot start including a streak of three straight birdies, youngster Rickie Fowler has taked the lead at the 2012 Players Championship, though is surrounded with top talent around the top of the heap.
Fowler has the hottest round of the day going so far, currently 6-under on the day through 12 holes. He is tied with Matt Kuchar, who is 1-under through three holes on the afternoon. Kevin Na sits alone at 8-under as Zach Johnson does at 7-under, while Blake Adams, Jonathan Byrd and Cal Alumni Charlie Wi sit at 6-under.
As for Tiger Woods, he currently remains at 2-under for the tournament through 15 holes on the day, while Phil Mickelson is 2-under for the day, now 4-under for the week. There currently are 24 men within five shots of the leader, so it's still anyone's tournament to take still.
