The Players Championship 2012: Tiger Woods Rallies To Make Cut

Tiger Woods had a miserable first round at The Players Championship, but a big day on Friday rallied the world's former top-player to two-under for the tournament. Woods is now tied for 30th overall and has two more rounds this weekend to try and make a move towards the top of the leaderboard.

Matt Kuchar, Kevin Na and Zach Johnson are all tied at eight-under for the tournament through two rounds. Johnson had a huge day on Friday, shooting six-under par. Harris English, who sits in second place at -7, had a big day as well, shooting five-under.

Other notable names playing this weekend: After shooting an even par in the first round, Rickie Fowler shot -3 to move him into a tie for 17th overall. Phil Mickelson is tied with Woods at -2, as is Jim Furyk. Rory McIllroy and Vijay Singh were among the most notables to miss the cut.

The third round of the 2012 Players Championship is set to begin on Saturday morning.
