The Raiders made a new hire today, according to Adam Schefter:

Raider GM Reggie McKenzie, since taking over operations following the end of last season, has gone about overhauling the Raiders' scouting department, and made another major change on Friday by hiring Joey Clinkscales. Clinkscales was formerly the New York Jets' Vice President of college scouting, where he has coordinated the Jets' drafts since 2008.

Up until recently, Clinkscale had denied rumors that he would be moving on to Oakland from New York, noting, "I expect to be [in New York this season]. My job is a talent evaluator. I understand where the connection comes in, to be honest with you. Reggie and I have played high school and college ball together. We were in each other's weddings. I've known Reggie forever. But this is where I started and this is where I plan on being." Nonethless, if reports are true, Clinkscale has made the decision to join his friend out west and will assume the duties of the Director of Personnel.
