Louis Oosthuizen seemed to be in great shape after making up his bogeys on the 4th and 10th holes with a birdie on 13 and crucial par save on 14. That albatross still looms large for him to keep him on top of the leaderboard.
But here comes Matt Kuchar. Coming into the back nine at five-under, Kuchar birdied both the par-3 12th and par-5 13th holes to get to -7, then had a huge eagle to tie Oosthuizen at nine-under.
Other golfers are trying to make their mark. Bubba Watson is starting to make a charge. After a bogey on 12 to fall back to six-under, Watson nailed birdies on 13 and 14 to get to within one stroke of the lead. Lee Westwood is in striking distance at seven-under, but is running out of holes. Phil Mickelson has been trying to recover from that disastrous triple bogey, and did birdie 13 to get back to seven-under, but still remains two back.
