The 138th Kentucky Derby will take place on Saturday, May 5. The annual event at Churchill Downs stands as the first event in the Triple Crown, which is arguably the most difficult accomplishment to win in all of sports.
The Louisville race has been around since 1875 and was last won by Animal Kingdom in 2011. This is the most famous and most viewed horse race in the world.
As of Monday, the current favorites to take home the race include Bodemeister (9/2), Dullahan (8/1), Gemologist (7/1) and Union Rags (9/2).
