Cal defensive end Ernest Owusu has been lingering around NFL Draft boards. Owusu had a solid NFL Pro Day at Cal and has started to pop up on NFL Draft boards. He could be a late steal in the draft if the right team picks him.
It's starting to look like NFL teams are starting to show more interest in Owusu. Aaron Wilson has more updates on the situation.
California defensive end Ernest Owusu is scheduled to visit the Tennessee Titans and the Cincinnati Bengals, per a source. Owusu is a 6-foot-4, 277-pounder who bench pressed 225 pounds 39 times at his campus Pro Day workout. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 seconds and posted a 30-inch vertical leap, a 9-4 broad jump, a 4.50 20-yard shuttle and a 7.20 three-cone drill. Owusu wasn't invited to the combine, but had 30 tackles, seven for losses and 4 1/2 sacks.
Owusu is the second of the two Cal defensive linemen that have been popping up on draft boards. Trevor Guyton is likely to go first among the two, but that doesn't mean Owusu won't get his shot. Owusu had a solid senior season.
Could Guyton and Owusu be the third and fourth Cal defensive linemen to be drafted in three seasons?
