The series kicked off on Saturday with a 9-3 Golden Bears win. Second baseman Tony Renda, catcher Chadd Krist and shortstop Derek Campbell had three hits each in the win. Krist, in particular, will just not stop hitting doubles. His two-RBI double in the seventh inning was his fourth of the season and 50th of his career, moving him into a fifth-place tie for most Cal doubles all-time. Left-handed ace Justin Jones improved to 2-1 by pitching seven innings of four-hit baseball. Jones struck out three and walked none. The win, his 21st, ties him for sixth on the all-time Cal wins list.

On Sunday, the teams played a double-header that went even worse for Lehigh. Cal picked up a total of 27 hits as they defeated the Mountain Hawks 10-0 and 18-3. The opener featured another solid start, as Matt Flemer tossed seven inning with just three hits, one walk and seven strikeouts. His record now stands at 2-0 with a 1.23 ERA and three walks in 22.0 innings.

The nightcap saw sophomore left-handed starter Kyle Porter making his season debut. He only worked the first inning, but gave up no hits and one walk while recording one strikeout. Freshman shortstop Andrew Farney had a double and three RBI.
