Rajon Rondo Outshines Jeremy Lin, Celtics Beat Knicks In Overtime

Jeremy Lin has helped get the New York Knicks back to respectability. But he still has a long way to go to outshine Rajon Rondo.

Rondo totally decimated Lin over the course of 53 minutes, compiling a career performance with 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 20 assists. Lin had trouble blocking out Rondo rebounding-wise, and Rondo got some easy baskets off of cuts. It was a classic performance by the Celtics point man.

The Celtics as a team frustrated and flustered Lin, cutting off passing lanes and forcing him into tough looks. They forced Lin to switch onto bigger players and try and defend them, and the Knicks were slow to rotate back. Lin finished 6-16 with 14 points and five assists as well as six turnovers, although he did enjoy a brief flurry with a steal and layup off Paul Pierce and a big three to put the Knicks in position to win in regulation.
