The San Francisco Dons missed out on their chance to earn an at-large bid to the 2012 NCAA Tournament with some uneven play in the regular season, but now they will have a chance at attaining some postseason glory.
The 2012 CBI Tournament kicks off this week and the Dons are one of the 16 teams who are participating. USF will play on Tuesday against the Washington State Cougars. The game will begin at 7:00 p.m. PT and will air on HDNet. You can find the full first round pairings below.
Tuesday, March 13:
Milwaukee vs. TCU Horned Frogs, time TBA
Washington St. Cougars vs. San Francisco Dons, 7:00 p.m. PT (HDNet)
Princeton Tigers vs. Evansville Aces, 5:00 p.m. ET (HDNet)
Wednesday, March 14:
Western Illinois Leathernecks vs. Oregon St. Beavers, 7:00 p.m. PT (HDNet)
North Dakota St. Bison vs. Wyoming Cowboys, time TBA
Delaware Blue Hens vs. Butler Bulldogs, 5:00 p.m. ET (HDNet)
Quinnipiac Bobcats vs. Penn Quakers, time TBA
Wofford Terriers vs. Pittsburgh Panthers, time TBA
The quarterfinals will be held on Monday, March 19. The semifinals will air on HDNet on Wednesday, March 21. The Championship series will also air on HDNet and will be a best-of-three series on March 26, March 28 and, if necessary, March 30.
