When you think of a player to compare to Jeremy Lin of the New York Knicks, I generally think about LeBron James of the Miami Heat.
Wait. What?
Per Elias - Jeremy Lin is the 1st player with 20+ Pts & 8+ Ast in first 2 career starts since LeBron James in '03-04 season. #LinDynasty

James has now gone onto become one of the greatest players in NBA history. I wouldn't go out of my way to bet on Lin doing the same things, but it's not a bad sign that he's been this productive early on. Usually players that put up these numbers early in this career are more likely to succeed than to fail. Having a guy that can not only score and pass the basketball at will this early on should be promising for future development, and Lin is arguably able to produce from more points on the floor (albeit not as consistently as James). The more development, the better for his career.
