2012 Super Bowl Line And Odds: Patriots Remain Favorites, Giants Getting The Action

The New England Patriots and New York Giants square off Sunday evening in Super Bowl XLVI and plenty of money is pouring in as people wager on the two teams. This is the biggest event of the year for gamblers and upwards of $100 million will be wagered at casinos in Las Vegas. Much more than that is wagered online and through illegal means, but that amount is virtually impossible to figure out.

The Patriots currently sit as 2 1/2 point favorites after opening as 3 1/2 point favorites. MGM Resorts was prepared to open the Patriots at -4 1/2, but their near stumble against the Ravens and the Giants hot streak heading into the game pushed them to the opening 3 1/2. The line has been at 2 1/2 for much of the last ten days, but a search across the Internet seems to have most of the money coming in on the Giants. It is safe to say the casinos are Patriots fans right about now.
