Daytona 500 2012 Champion: Matt Kenseth; Jeff Gordon & A.J. Allmendinger Bottom Out

The Daytona 500 is complete, and Matt Kenseth ended up doing work. After multiple delays and plenty of other issues in-race, Kenseth was the one who got the checkered flag first and won it all in the end.

The two racers related close to the Bay Area didn't fare too well. A.J. Allmendinger got into a pit row accident that knocked his radiator out. This caused him a lot of delay issues, and Allmendinger finished in the bottom 10 at 34th. Jeff Gordon also didn't finish too well either after his engine blew up, going 40th overall out of 43 racers. So not too many victories for the Bay Area here, although if you were watching the whole thing, all the crashes might have made it worth it. Kind of.
