Santa Clara Vs. Loyola Marymount Final Score: Broncos Fall Short Once Again, 68-65

The Santa Clara Broncos managed to keep their skid going all the way through the 2012 WCC season. They visited the Loyola Marymount Lions on Saturday night and put up a valiant fight, but fell to the home team by a final score of 68-65. The Broncos fell to 0-16 on the final day of the WCC regular season. With the loss, they have not won a game since the finals of the Cable Car Classic just before their WCC opener.

Santa Clara trailed by just one point at halftime, but were unable to eke out a win. The Lions improved to 11-5 with the win, with an overall record of 19-11.

Raymond Cowels had a great game for the Broncos, leading all scorers with 22 points. Denzel Johnson added 12 points for Santa Clara. Anthony Ireland led the Loyola Marymount scoring by putting up 17 points, four rebounds, six assists and five steals.
