Jeremy Lin Scores 26 Points, Knicks Fall To Hornets

Jeremy Lin had a rough first half on Friday night against a mediocre New Orleans Hornets club, but the young point guard picked it up in the second half and ended his night with 26 points, five assists and four steals. Lin ended with nine turnovers, but eight of them came in the first half. The sign of Lin realizing he was being too careless with the ball and in-turn began involving his teammates speaks volumes about his potential going forward.

The Knicks trailed for most of the game and a late rally fell short in the fourth quarter. Amare Stoudemire continued to mesh well with Lin and recorded a double-double with 26 points and 12 rebounds. For the Hornets, Trevor Ariza had a huge night with 25 points and eight rebounds. New Orleans ended up winning 89-85.

Jeremy Lin and the Knicks will look to get back on track on Sunday afternoon against Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. ET, which is 10 a.m. in the Bay Area.

Stay tuned for continued coverage as Linsanity ensues across the NBA.
