Tiger Woods started his second round hot at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, but cooled down along with the weather down the stretch as the rains came in later in the day. But after two rounds it's Charlie Wi leading the way, who backed up his brilliant opening round with a 3-under 69, finishing atop the leaderboard at 12-under after the second round on Friday.
Tiger birdied four of his first 12 holes on the day, but couldn't get much more as the day went on, including an unfortunate bogey on the 16th to finish up his day with a 2-under 70, moving him to 6-under for the week. His ball striking was solid most of the day, finishing about the field average in driving distance, accuracy, and greens in regulation. But it was the flat stick that troubled him, hitting 31 putts on round today.
Dustin Johnson is the closest to Wi after the second round, finishing with a 1-under 71 at Spyglass Hill to move to 10-under for the tournament, just one shot off the lead. Ryan Moore, Jim Harbaugh's playing partner in the Pro-Am shot the round of the day, a 6-under 66 at Monterey Peninsula. Phil Mickelson had himself a nice day as well, finishing with back-to-back birdies to cap of his 5-under 67, finishing at 7-under for he tournament.
